Every time when I plan my journey everything seems alright until…the actual day of travel. I think I kind of got used to it and probably nothing will suprise me anymore. Some people (like me) can`t be bored even for a while 😛
Waking up so happy: `Yeah I am going to Poland` but… I have to work in the morning?! Why?????! Well, if I have to, I have to. My flight was in the evening so I left everything for the MORNING…All the packing, checking in, preparing things before travel. Everything in the morning with the tiny detail…I had to work that time which means no time for anything.
I was running back from work trying to save every single minute of my very precious time. I didn`t really think what I was packing, throwing things in my bag. After very speedy packing it was the time for checking in. I do believe in the malice of inanimate objects. The time when I really needed my Internet it decided to stop working for a while. No Internet, no ticket. `Great so far` I thought. `Ages` after it did work again so it was a time to print it out. The printer decided to stop working too even though it was perfectly fine few hours before. I couldn`t believe that. I don`t like having plane tickets on my phone because I really don`t believe that much in technology but it was my only choice: install the app and have a ticket in there. Installing started until the message on my phone: insufficient storage… I thought I will break my phone.

I was trying to delete many things just to have enough space and finish installing the app but still… it wasn`t right. I gave up and ran to the library which wasn`t that close at all. With my heavy bag on my back it was neither easy nor pleasant. My ticket was printed out, time to pay. It was nothing, only 10p but I realised I had no coins with me. The card wasn`t accepted (obviously it`s 10p). I really wanted the ground to open up. I am so grateful to the lovely lady (librarian) who paid for my ticket and I do promise I will even give her 10 pounds for `saving my life`that day.
I took a tube to the coach station ready to take my transport to the airport. I bought a ticket and departure was in 2 minutes! The station is huge and I still didn`t know where my platform was. I arrived just in time when the driver was about to shut the door. I felt such a big relief sitting in the couch until the time I saw the enormous traffic everywhere and my coach stuck in the middle of it. Rush hours are horrible, many cars on the road, everyone is coming back from work or thousand other reasons to drive `something`.
To get out of London took ages. I thought I will miss my flight. Luckily it wasn`t as bad as it seemed to be. At the airport everything went really smooth. Security control was really fast (like never before). I got to the gate just to find out my flight was…delayed. All that rush and stress for nothing. I spent ages waiting for my plane and once I got in and sat down I felt extremely happy. I coulnd`t believe in that chain of events and despite of all of that I was actually on my place in the right plane 😛
When I think about it I am laughing so badly but obviously that time it wasn`t funny at all. I landed in Wroclaw after midnight. Super tired and sleepy but extremely happy. I was waiting a while for my bus from the airport. It was freezing and rainy but it didn`t matter. I was really pleased I managed to be there. I have a big grin on my face just thinking about it. Story with happy ending not the first one and I am pretty sure not the last one.
If you have any stories to share I would love to know about your adventures too. Please let me know and something inside tells me: `I hope I am not the only one` 🙂
Take care and have a great happy day !
PS. It`s raining in Poland but never mind…it`s great to be here 🙂
